New York Times: Manga Rank on September Graphic Novel Bestseller List

Hree manga titles rated on The New York Times’ yearly Graphic Books and Manga bestseller record published in early September.

The New York Times published its first brand new Graphic Books and Manga bestseller set in October, and it’s 1 category of this paper’s new bestseller lists.

Dragon Ball Super quantity 6 rated at #14 on the record in October, My Hero Academia quantity 21 rated at #3 on the list in November, My Hero Academia volume 1 rated at #11 on the list in December and also at #8 on the listing at January and February, One-Punch Man quantity 19 rated at #11 in April, My Hero Academia quantity two rated at #15 in May, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba quantity 12 rated at #11 in June,

quantity 24 rated at #4 and also quantity 1 rated at #9 in July, along with My Hero Academia quantity 1 rated at #11 and quantity 24 rated at #15 in August.The shift is confounding in part because of the great development of graphic novels in the past several decades. According to business book ICv2, comic books were the most significant area of expansion for the publication in 2016 and the National Book Award winning March picture publication recently slipped into the top of Amazon’s best seller list following co-author John Lewis made headlines for feuding with afterward president-elect Donald Trump.

The New York Times graphic book and manga best sellers lists have been launched in 2009. Lately, the New York Times made a decision to refer to graphic novels and comic books as”picture books”, as a way to make the record more comprehensive to several kinds of comic formats. The lists were split into three subcategories: softcover top vendors, hardcover best sellers, and manga. Along with providing a short review of the novels, the lists also contained information on the number of months that the novels were around the lists.

ComicBook.com has requested New York Time for extra remark concerning why the Graphic Books and Manga lists were lost, but haven’t yet got a response.
